DUALISM WEEKENDER

Starting Friday night going all the way through Sunday, DUALISM, SACHSENTRANCE, CANDYFLIP, and PFANDIDOS are joining forces for a united rave. The weekend is set to have an absolutely stacked lineup, with more than 50 artists keeping the tunes pumping over the course of the three days. No doubt there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Watergate Open Air with Chez Damier

Iconic Berlin institute Watergate closes out the summer season with a lineup featuring some of the deepest purveyors of house music around. The all-dayer will feature Billboard’s 2024 DJ of the year, Anfisa Letyago, who will be performing her trademark style of hypnotic techno for those who want to wind down the evening on the beach stage. Detroit legend Chez Damier will keep the heat going with his choice cuts on the container stage, pulling out rare grooves for all the heads. Also along for the ride will be soulful house resident DJ Natalie Robinson and London-based selector Isaac Carter.

Soft Power Festival
Soft Power is a transdisciplinary festival happening alongside Berlin Art Week. The festival will combine exhibitions, performances, concerts, DJ sets, discussions and communal dining, but what we’re most interested in is the lineup, which is stacked with some great Berlin-based talent like DJ Fart in the Club and house maser Fred P. There will also be a 72-hour radio programme developed together with Refuge Worldwide for the event.

10 Years of Klub Verboten x Berlin

The Klub Verboten party series is celebrating its 10th anniversary. With a strict dress code, careful curation and a consistent commitment to safe spaces, Klub Verboten has carved out a permanent place for itself in Berlin’s kink scene. To mark the anniversary, there’s now another reason to celebrate: new club ROSA is opening its doors for the first time.

19 Years Renate

For nearly two decades, Berlin institution Renate has give clubbers a dance floor to call home. Following the possible closure just months ago, the club is now celebrating its 19th birthday and throwing a massive party that includes seven floors of music and 66 hours of partying.

Sound Metaphors Presents Drew McDowall

The creative team behind Berlin’s edgiest record store has teamed up with one of the city’s best underground locations (yes, that one next to the tracks at Jannowitzbrücke) for some raucous new-wave electronica and granular techno. Headlining the event is Scottish pioneer and former Coil member Drew McDowall, who will be showcasing his live talent for meditative and hallucinatory art punk and electro-acoustic. Joining him for the journey will be local sound auteur Rashad Becker, atmospheric sonic artist Temple Rat, plus techno and psychedelic DJs Bill Kougilas and Transmigration founder David Fogarty.

Devoted, with Kø:lab

This new-wave-meets-hard-rave party series turns the corner with a special night dedicated to boundary-breaking neo-trance, hard groove and industrial techno. Known for their relentless style of high-tempo melodic beats, Devoted’s latest party hosts Berlin-based DJ Jazzy, nostalgia-driven rave duo Kø:lab, Limoncello and MAM Records founder DJ Hotmail. Making the most of the powerful OST sound system, Devoted’s brand of industrial and sweaty parties has become known for its cult-like fans, who are forever ready to dance from dusk til dawn.

Else Season Closing

This season, Else is going out with a band and are celebrating not only their season closer, but Triangle Agency (the agency who represents artists like Ellen Allien, Jeff Mills and Julianne Huxtable) celebrates 10 years for the final dance of the summer season. The lineup is still TBA, but there are guaranteed to be some heavy-hitters on the list.

180 min with Sam Barker

Berghain resident Sam Barker has crafted a meticulous career treading the line between polyrhythmic, synthesised electronics and pulsing, analogue techno. Now, as the featured act in Zenner’s long-running 180 min series, the British DJ gets to run the gamut of his audio repertoire, as he flaunts his technical dexterity for an extended live set. Expect a whole array of analogue synthesisers and drum machines. As part of the special performance, Barker will also showcase his new collaborative installation, ‘Discrete Ensemble’, which promises to explore new, immersive sonic boundaries.

5 YEARS OF ELSI
With a focus on Italian dance music, the Elsi collective is heading to OXI to celebrate their 5th anniversary. Sound Metaphors and Franz Scala are on the lineup among plenty of other masters of dance music. Plus, there will be a secret guest making their first appearance in Berlin!
